Somewhat incongruous to its down-home, “country cowboy” atmosphere, Davie has become a Mecca for higher learning. In a sprawling area named the South Florida Education Center, more than 30,000 students are educated annually at top-rated elementary schools, technical and vocational schools, police and fire academies, a community college, and several institutions of higher learning.Davie hosts the main campuses of Nova Southeastern University and Broward Community College, with satellite campuses for the University of Florida, Florida International University, and Florida Atlantic University.

Davie has many great public and private educational alternatives for your children. Nova Charter schools are highly regarded for the high level of education offered. Enrollment is by lottery and is open to any student in Broward County. Nova schools are centrally located along Davie Rd by Nova Southeastern and BCC at the educational complex.
